Another plus of Nordica is its excellent management company. Those who have already had the good fortune to buy or rent an apartment in Pattaya should understand what I mean. If the house is well-groomed, clean,
everything is maintained in perfect order, any little things are resolved quickly and to the point - this means that the house is managed by a good company that cares not only about the residents, but also about its reputation.

Just like a theater starts with a hanger, a house in Pattaya begins with a foyer. In Sea View, female administrators sit behind the counter, everything sparkles around, and on the walls there is a schedule of events that Nordic organizes for his people.

What are its advantages? There are practically no people, especially in the low season (from March to November), and there are no crowds there during the high season.
The sea is mostly clean, swimming there is pleasant and calm, especially when compared with the nearest ones and Jomtien.
There are a couple of cafes, shade for children, and the entrance to the sea is gentle.

Now about the house itself and the apartment we looked at.

The house has 7 floors, a rooftop swimming pool, a children's playground, sun loungers, a gym and a relaxation area.


Since it is now the “hot” season in Pattaya, of course there were people by the pool, but still, not many and all smiling Europeans, who were not at all against my filming.

The pool is clean, there is a Jacuzzi area with hydromassage, there are enough sun loungers (there were some empty ones). There are large umbrellas that provide thick shade.

The view of the sea from here is simply stunning. If there is anything special about Pratumnak, it is the air and the sea views. Many of which have now been blocked by a palisade of newly built houses.
In this regard, soy 4 and soy 5 Pratumnak benefit, since the landscape allows you to build houses without blocking each other’s sea views.

Renting an apartment in C-View New Nordic – prices and conditions

Studio apartment. It’s completely new, the house was put into use a few months ago, and no one has lived in this apartment yet.



The apartment is bright, cozy and very pleasant. The footage is about 30 meters, which is very good for a studio in Pattaya.


Everything is. Fully equipped kitchen with hob, all necessary kitchen utensils, large refrigerator, microwave, kettle, etc.

Double bed with a comfortable mattress. Oooh, a mattress in Pattaya is very important. Sometimes you come across hotel rooms or apartments with mattresses that only Indian yogis can sleep on, they are so hard. Good bed linen, double-door wardrobe, TV, air conditioning. In general, everything that usually happens in new apartments of new houses in Pattaya.

Balcony. There is a table and chairs on the balcony, and in the evening it is certainly pleasant to sit here with a cup of tea or eat mango and durian.

The balcony has a sea view. Not frontal, of course, but there. Next to the balcony you can see the roof of a private villa, on which apparently no one lives, so such a neighborhood will not interfere, which means living here will be comfortable and quiet even for a long time.




For the price, everything is fine too. For a long term, this apartment can be rented at a price of 9,000 baht, and during the season or for short periods the price reaches 14,000 baht per month.

For those who come to Pattaya not for a year or six months or even a month, but just on vacation, or, for example, looking for a temporary shelter until they find something suitable for a long time,
I would advise you to pay attention to the C-View condominium from New Nordic and rent daily housing here.

The New Nordic company is a well-known developer in Pattaya; it owns an entire street on Pratumnak Hill (about 40 buildings both completed and under construction). VIP 4 building, positioned as a 3* hotel, was put into operation in November 2013, built in the shape of a Russian “P”. Inside this “P” there is a large multi-level swimming pool. On the 6th floor there is a small pool with a jacuzzi effect (but, despite its short operation, not all jets work). For the convenience of the guests, something has been done, but clearly not enough has been done. The hotel made a double impression on me. At first glance, everything seems to be fine: newness, cleanliness. Disadvantages are revealed later... So, in reverse order, I will explain the ratings given.
Service: The first negative impression was made by the girls at the reception. On the evening of January 27, I checked into the hotel and it was my birthday. I was tired after a four-hour flight delay, a seven-hour flight and a rather long drive from Bangkok airport to the hotel (special thanks to Pegasus). I didn’t expect a present from the hotel in the form of flowers, a basket of fruit or a cake (after all, not every hotel has such a service! It’s not clear since when, basic politeness and gratitude to guests turned into “services”), but I didn’t even hear: "Happy birthday!" from the girls who checked in holding my passport in their hands!!! I didn’t expect a friendly smile from them, either on the day of check-in or on all subsequent days. On the day of departure, I had to check out of my room before 12 noon, and the Pegasus minivan was supposed to pick me up only at 17:30. I wanted to negotiate with the Thai general manager at the reception (she speaks English) so that the room would be left with me until 17:00, but nothing worked out. Despite the fact that even the amount that needed to be paid was announced, in the end she refused me, did not allow me to stay in my room and did not offer me another, although until I left the hotel, no one was accommodated in my room. At the reception there are electronic scales for weighing luggage, but they are paid (!) Prepare a 10 baht coin. For these tricks I give the hotel a big minus.
The maid cleaned well, without any complaints: she changed towels, put two free bottles of water in the refrigerator, washed dishes and floors, wiped dust, but never supplied shampoo or shower gel unless the bottles were completely empty, the same with soap and cotton swabs history, they were not added until they were completely used (and this was what the maids did on all floors, apparently the hotel policy is based on careful economy). Bottles for shampoo, shower gel and body lotion are “designer” plastic - terribly inconvenient to use, you literally shake the liquid out of them drop by drop. The bed linen was changed only on the ninth day of my stay at the hotel.
The nicest and most hospitable hotel employees are the security guards. They always smile, say hello, and bow, even if they work in another building.
The most necessary (free) hotel service is delivery of guests: to the beach, to the market near the Pattaya Park Hotel (where you can eat in the evening and make the necessary purchases) and to the road (Main Road), along which tuks “run”. There are mini markets "7/11" and "FM" within walking distance.
Food: Causes complaints from all guests without exception. I gave it a "three" only because the food was edible. The menu is extremely limited. People from other VIP buildings come to eat in VIP 4 for breakfast. The building is 100% populated by Russian (Russian-speaking) tourists, but the hotel management did not take into account when drawing up the menu that rice and an egg alone cannot feed a Russian person. No variety, every day rice, rice, rice! You can’t even call it a canteen, what kind of buffet is there! Tea bags and instant coffee are disgusting. I stopped going to breakfast on the fifth day.
I really liked the hotel's main restaurant - Christie's. I dined there three times. The food is delicious (respect to the cooks!), the friendly waitresses serve very quickly and efficiently (waiters from our building should be sent there for an internship). The menu is varied (there are European, American and Thai cuisine), the atmosphere is pleasant.
Accommodation: There are three types of rooms in the building: Studios, One-bedroom rooms and two large rooms on two levels. Essentially, these are apartments that belong to someone, and the VIP 4 building was built as a condominium. In Pattaya, apartments are built and sold according to the principle: “Come in and live!” Despite this, there is no sense of home comfort at all.
All rooms have balconies, which is very good. On the balconies: a clothes dryer, two armchairs and a table made of artificial rattan (Attention: the glass tabletop is not fixed on the table! The upstairs neighbors broke it, the whole hotel heard the roar).
I lived in a Studio room on the second floor. There is enough space for one person, but for two people it would be a bit cramped!
The room is dominated by interior minimalism, the color scheme is monochrome, equipped with: a double bed (queen size, moderately hard, quite comfortable, good bed linen), a leather chair, a coffee table, a banquette, a wardrobe (inside: a bedside table, sufficient number of hangers and an electronic safe), desk, LCD TV (with Russian channels - First, Fifth, Vesti 24, TNT, etc.). The kitchenette is equipped with a large refrigerator (with a mini bar), an induction hob with two burners and an extractor hood (not useful, because there are no pots or pans), a microwave (which came in handy), a sink, a set of dishes (3 types of plates, mugs, glasses, glasses of 2 types, forks, spoons, teaspoons, knives), liquid and a sponge for washing dishes (!!!) The room really lacks a mirror and shadow curtains.
The bathroom is not well designed. They obviously saved money on the plumbing: water in the shower from the nozzles flies in all directions, the threshold and glass partition do not help. The drain did not work very well; you stand in dirty water up to your ankles, which is not very pleasant. The pipe was cleaned only a couple of days before my departure. What is missing and what to take with you / buy on the spot: hair dryer, toothpaste, toothbrush, washcloth and other personal hygiene products.
The complete lack of soundproofing in the room was very annoying: the screams of night revelers who, upon returning from Walking Street, considered it their duty to play billiards and splash in the pool, but what’s up, I could even hear how my neighbor sneezed on his balcony and how the waiters were placing plates for breakfast. And finally, the main problem is CONSTRUCTION! From 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and only on Sundays do builders have a day off. The building under construction in front of VIP 4 will completely block access to sunlight and guests will feel like they are in a well. Now New Nordic is building in a staggered manner, i.e. next to each (!) working completed building in the immediate vicinity there are at least two construction sites!!!
For children there is: a chair in the dining room, bicycles (however, there is no place to ride them; the building practically does not have its own territory).
I heard a lot about injuries on the roads of Pattaya and during excursions, but I myself was injured in my “home” hotel. When you leave the VIP 4 building “into the world”, you will definitely go down the wooden stairs with high steps painted in the signature orange color. Be careful on these stairs and hold on to the railing. It remains a mystery to me: why, on that morning of February 4, the stairs were wet (from dew or had just been washed), but I, wearing sports sandals with corrugated rubber soles, slipped and fell from the 4th step, skinning my back from the shoulder blades to the lower back . There and now, in the corner by the steps, lies my bracelet with the image of Buddha on beads, torn in the fall. I complained to the Pegasus hotel manager Oksana, but she said that she herself had fallen on these stairs more than once. I doubt that she conveyed my request to the hotel management to attach rubber pads or something like that to these stairs. So it turned out that the hotel took care of the safety of guests from thieves and robbers by placing a guard at each building and hanging cameras at every step, but they completely did not think of taking care of avoiding domestic injuries. For example, I have never seen that a pool at different levels did not have indicators for the minimum and maximum depth, but in New Nordic VIP 4 there are no indicators!
The hotel (or rather, those buildings in which Russian tourists are accommodated) is not suitable for either active or passive types of recreation. Given the above, I will not recommend the hotel to my friends and family and will never return to New Nordic myself.
